FOUR Christmas Playlists!

It's Thanksgiving today and you know what that means, tomorrow the Christmas season officially starts! I know y'all are laughing because if you're like my family, your tree has already been up for at least a week...or more! I think the pandemic isolating and working from home encouraged a lot of folks to bring the Christmas cheer in a little early. Normally I'm a decorate Christmas week at the earliest person, but this year we threw that out the door. One thing I haven't done much of though, aside from putting these lists together, is listen to holiday music. I like having the decorations up for a little extra time, but (as much as I love music) the music can get a little repetitive for me, so I've waited, but I am SO excited to listen to these lists now!

And yes, I know, I went a little crazy making four Christmas playlists. I just love Christmas music SO much, and believe it or not (I know you will), I actually only had to make two of these because I already had a general Christmas Party playlist and a separate list of more sacred tunes I'd listen to on Sundays from past years of listening.

As I was scrolling through all of the new Christmas albums and singles that came out this year -- Leslie Odom Jr., Megan Trainor, Tori Kelly, Ben Rector, Carrie Underwood, AND Dolly Parton -- I was like, dang, I need to make a separate list with contemporary renditions and originals and that is how the Modern Christmas playlist was born. Then, after I made the modern one I felt bad for all the Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Nat King Cole classics and felt like they needed a home of their own as well, and that was that, the Classics list!

You can find them all on Spotify!

Click here for Christmas Party - This playlist is a mix of the old and new! There's a little something for everyone on this list. A great list for your family get-together. (But, not too much family, because we're still living through a pandemic, okay?) 😀

Click here for Christmas Classics - Like I mentioned above, this list contains the simple classics we all know and love and grew up listening to on the local radio station.

Click here for Modern Christmas - Modern day reinventions of your favorite classics as well as new originals.

Click here for Sabbath Christmas - When you still want Christmas music, but want to observe the reverence of the Sabbath day. It's a combination of sacred hymns, orchestral themes, and gospel music.  Y'all know I wasn't about to make this list a total snooze fest. One minute you'll be listening to the Tchaikovsky Nutcracker Waltz and the next you will be up on your feet with Whitney Houston singing Joy and find yourself looking up the nearest church with a gospel choir. (But, seriously. 😇)

Enjoy the music!
